hiya there Smile Whenever I try to get online with Renegade, after I click "Advanced Server Listings" it comes up with a message saying "requesting server listings, please wait", and then goes onto one saying "operation timed out" after a few minutes. It does this no matter what I do with the settings. I have Renguard and the Core Patches and all that shiz installed, I don't have any cheats/mods/skins in my Ren folder, I have a legal copy of Renegade, I've allowed Renegade through my firewall and it still won't let me in. I'm confused as to what to do :S I used to be able to get onto the server listings absolutely fine, haven't played Ren for a few months so only noticed it was stopping me getting on when I loaded it up yesterday after a while. If anyone has any suggestions about what may be wrong and how I could maybe fix it I would be extremely grateful Very Happy

Try this:

Go here: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=2849987&userid=0&am p;perpage=40&pagenumber=1

Download the "XCC WOL SERVER connection Tool". Run it. Click "Set (XWIS)". Close the window, and try connecting in Renegade again.

Your message indicates that something is blocking access to the xwis servers. This would probably be a firewall or something like peerguardian2.

Could you, however, post the content of your "hosts" file in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC , just to be sure.

Remove the lines:

212.162.52.233 irc.westwood.com
212.162.52.233 servserv.westwood.com

They're useless.

Are you unaware of what the tool I posted does?
