I got the same exams heh (E&M profiel).

Imo History is easy. I still haven't learned yet, but I will probably start with it this week. The 4 wars are pretty easy (Coalitie-Oorlogen, Krim-Oorlog, Frans-Duitse Oorlog en Eerste Wereldoorlog), but "Dynamiek en stagnatie in de republiek" is boring.

I also still have to learn for Economics and Maths :\

School is important, kids! It makes the difference between a job that allows you to play games at evenings or one that doesn't! Wink

I dropped out of high school, and I have a job (good one actually, not fast food), and am obviously still here. Satisfied

Not that I am saying that school is not a good thing.

I'm taking summer college courses, and they're actually pretty awesome. The classes are smaller, and the teachers and students are pretty cool too.

I like school. Taking advantage of all the possibilities of getting a higher education is the least I could do, considering public education is freely provided to me. Anyone who really complains needs to realize that in a few years their entire life will be determined by the education they get.

Yeah, I don't know what the situation in the USA is, but over here in the higher regions of education your future carreer will only be determined by your degree for as little as 10%. A high degree helps at your first job interview, for sure. But after you get that first job, it's going to be mostly about the experience you build and the things you achieve, they are vastly more important than your degree. At least, this is how it works in the business sector of the job market. In the 4 years it takes to complete your degree you will probably learn as much as you learn in your first year of actually having a job in the sector you studied for. I'm not saying a degree isn't needed, ofcourse it is, however it is not the sole factor that will determine your future prospects.

Of course. It is, however, a huge step in the right direction no matter how you look at it I suppose.

Yeah, unless the degree is highly specialized for something like the sciences, it usually just means you're a competent individual who can grasp new concepts relatively quickly, can put up with deadlines, and deal with bullshit.

We have the "most important exams of the year" next week (8 days from now).

The problem with that though, is that next week is when we GET BACK FROM SPRING BREAK!

I don't get how they expect us to do good on a 3 hour long exam (which isn't just that, but we have to take it 3 hours everyday for 4 or 5 days), right after getting back from a long week of sleeping in and forgetting everything we learned.

That wasn't spring break, that was probably a study break.. but I bet you didn't study..

Anyway I don't know why you guys are stressing, I did my Maths and English Exams and got a C on maths and a B on English.. Shit's good for me and I didn't even study.

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

Why would you work hard at school to get a good job if you're going to spend your evenings playing games ? Great plan!

At the school I am currently attending, we have graduation in a few days - along with another week of school that includes exams thereafter. That makes a lot of sense! Oh, and don't you dare call it graduation - it's the "Wave Goodbye Ceremony."
