You could try TrueCrypt from http://www.truecrypt.org/
It allows you to encrypt and hide stuff.

When I wanted to hide things I just used Folder Guard. Worked pretty well for me.

Why don't you just edit the NTFS permissions of the folders in question and delete the permission entries for the Everyone group and any other users, leaving just your personal account with access? Then, assuming you don't give anyone your password, leave the machine logged in or give out admin rights to everyone, the folder is fairly secure. Again, it probably wouldn't keep out a determined hacker who knows what they are doing, but it really depends who it is your trying to hide it from.
