Help with Renegade . Urgent!! [message #366914]

ive just baught a new pc with windows vista, now i had no problem installing and playing however when i do play the screen for some reason only appears in 1/4 of my screen the rest is blank (black) then once game is shut down it goes back to full screen, any one have any ideas how to change this as ive racked my brains and have come to nothing, i would be very thankfull. . . .

Make sure you set a correct resplution of renegade

*If you have Renegade alone:
Goto the install folder and run WWConfig.exe

*If you have The First Decade:
Click on renegade and click yes when prompted for the configuration utility.

Also make sure you run as admin Smile

nice , what is a normal renegade resolution , because i am running it at a normal resolution i think and stil getting this problem .... and for some reason it wont let me check the box which says run as admin, even tho i am the only admin on my pc . . .

for running as admin: press rightmouse button -> Run As Admin.

A good resolution to start with is using the same as you run windows. By most people this is 1024*768 but on new systems it's 1600*1200 most of the time (1 or 2 exceptions left beside Big Grin

)
As far as i know and experianced renegade sets the default resolution to 800*600 which can cause problems on newer machine. And please don't even try 640*480 Razz

dw ive got it fixed now mate the rengaurd corepatch updates fixed the problem for me somehow, but thanks for your help n e way hopefully see you in game soon

lol i thought you already followed all the steps in the stiky's on the forums Razz

And about seeing you ingame: small chance Huh

currently playing some other games. I have a new PC and want to try some of the newest games finnaly Razz
