He should've just called it Use Your Illusion III.

Not as if we didn't know that it'd be another Illusions album anyway.

thats the cd title for the latest Guns N Roses cd. CD sucks to be honest. Its not illusions 3. One and two were awesome CDS. This one is Axel and a bunch of no names. Think there is one or two good songs but Axel sounds like he's losing his voice.

It's okay, but "Sweet Child 'O Mine" it ain't. Nowhere near as good as their older material. I'd still rather hear something off Chinese Democracy than most of the other decaying hose shit that passes itself off as rock.

I heard rap on my damn rock station the other day. That fails just about as hard as the first time I saw pro wrestling in the Sci-Fi channel's lineup. This is not fucking cool.

"Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. Horrid mischief would ensue were (the law-abiding) deprived of the use of them." - Thomas Paine

Remember, kids: illiteracy is cool. If you took the time to read this, you are clearly a loser who will never get laid. You've been warned.

if you like guns n roses then check out Velvet Revolver. Its basically guns n roses with a new lead singer. Slash is awesome.

Their are a lot of 80s metal bands with new cds out. Most are really good just didn't care for Chinese Democracy.

To be fair, their(or so to speak, his) new album was pretty bland if you ask me.. I don't think I'll be buying Chinese Democracy.

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

why is a thread being created every time a classic rock group releases an album? :/

I didn't create a thread for Testament or even Tesla, so you're exaggerating. Wink

Besides, this thread is only being created because it's been such a hyped album for years. The writing/recording started in 1994 with the original band, and the album has been put on hold and done over several times in this 14 year timeframe. Not to mention that it's cost $13 million to produce... by March of 2005. Who knows how much more had been dumped into the steaming pile since.

I didn't like Velvet Revolver at all. I couldn't stand Scott Weiland in the first place, though. Slash's forays with Snakepit were much better in my opinion.

Really, I was prepared to be disappointed with Chinese Democracy; if it had come out at the beginning of this year, I'd likely be more favorable, but since groups like Whitesnake, Metallica, and AC/DC have released excellent, and powerful works in 2008, Chinese Democracy sounds like almost like a whimper.

I heard Velvet was getting a new lead singer. will have to see how that sounds. I really liked what Slash did with Snakepit. Had some really good gritty tunes.

Also Tesla, Motley Crue and the Black Crowes have new cds out which are really good. Ozzie had one out a few years back wasnt to bad.

How can you idiots expect an old singer to pull together a kick ass album without his older band mates? This CD sucks mainly for the fact it came out the same day of Stephen Colbert's awesome Christmas Album.. Let alone all the idiots who bought Chinese Democracy probably would have prefered Stephen's decent singing skills other than Axel's shamed annoying voice.

Dokken's newest release is awesome, but it's a shame that Don is such a total loserman, still talking shit about George Lynch, etc.

I haven't heard Tesla's yet, because I'm still busy churning through a bunch of stuff from Ted Poley, Valentine, etc. :/

Tesla's new album is pretty damn good. I enjoy it, though I haven't listened to it a lot. I've been downloading/buying so many albums that I'm bound to neglect a few.

Their older stuff was still the best. If you like them and like the music back then you should check it out.

Here's my favorite song by them.

If I like a band, why would I just stick to their new stuff? That'd just be stupid. Of course, I like and listen to their older stuff.
