I'm sure all of you are aware of 9/11. Sad day, for all of us.
Honestly, I think that the government did nothing directly to cause 9/11.

We will never know the background details of 9/11 and though I ain't one of those hardcore conspiracy whack-jobs, I ain't buying the official BS story.
Hoewever, what I feel is most important here is the lives lost. I feel so bad for the people who lost their lives on that day.
I remember that day like it was yesterday. It was about 8:30 or 8:40...maybe 9:00 AM on that day. I was in my computer class. Then the PA system came on and our school principal announced that there has been a "tragedy" in New York City. He even called for a moment of silence. We all rose to pay our respects.
Right after that, being in a computer class, we hit the internet. I went to most of the websites trying to find any bit of information. Soon, the details began to come through.
Then the period ended and we had to go to a different class. anyway, by 12:00 PM in swimming class, I knew most of the grissly details. I remember sitting in my school's huge pool area in my swimming shorts with teary eyes (more in shock).
After the school was over, I literally RAN across the highway. My school was less than a mile away from home so I ran so fast home. I just ran right across the highway without even looking for cars. After I reached home, I got to the tV...my mom was already watching. The rest of the day was just a misty memory...
I feel SO bad for the lives that were taken in cruel ways. My sister is a seasoned flight attendant and I know how exactly it would have felt for the families...I worry about her everyday.

That was the longest day of my life. My dad woke me up in the early morning to tell me to turn on the news. In my sleepy haze, I asked him which channel was carrying the story and his reply was "ALL OF THEM". That's when I realized the gravity of the situation and I was glued to the TV until I had to go to work. I listened to the radio the whole way to work, since there was no way of knowing when and if the attack would end.
I worked at Charles Schwab in tech support at the time. My department handled customers with problems on the website or software products, but my job was on a special team that handled escalated issues. No one was calling in, and my team was instructed not to bother calling anyone at this time, so we were sent home, though I stuck around for an hour or so, glued to the TV there. It was so strange to know that if I looked up, I wouldn't be able to find a plane in the sky unless it was military.
When I got home, I didn't really want to be alone so I went to my dad's house and hung out there for the rest of the night.
I felt guilty being happy for about a week. I wouldn't even listen to music - just talk radio... found out my radio gets AM channels. I don't live in fear, but I will never forget how I felt that day, where I was, and what happens when you don't take national security seriously.
I'm the bawss.

Basically I was just chillin in fourth grade being all fourth grader like most fourth graders do, and after I got to school they basically told us something bad happened and we had to go home.
However, they locked down the base for the rest of the day until they finally let the buses take us home.
(I lived in Germany, this was on the US Army base at Landstuhl)

9th grade health class- I remember it because they were playing us the infamous STD slideshow when another teacher came in with a TV cart and flipped on the news. The school day was called a few hours later.

September 11th is directly tied to the current price of gas and etc, rocko hits the nail on the head when he said the current US administration caused (directly or indirectly) 9/11.

Anyone who thinks this was caused by the current administration is simply wrong. The current situation in the Middle East is largely due to a series of events that have occurred since World War I... There have been plenty of other terrorist attacks against Western targets in the 90's, including embassy bombings in Africa.
The West have been treating the Middle East like crap for donkeys years, so in hindsight, September 11th was no surprise. I'm no fan of George Bush, but he, nor his administration executed, or played any part in these attacks.

I remember first time that day I turned TV on i just thought like "lol another series with ome faked news" but after switching to another few channels I realized this was reality. Mhm. Spend the whole afternoon watching news. Was pretty scary. Some of my next thoughts where... wow what will happen now.
@ conspiracy theorists, well I don't think CIA or whatever planned them. But you have to admit it is something some higher american politicians love to hear after the first shock. I think maybe it was not planned as such, more let happend. There are some pretty big random things in this whole story where you could thing this is hard to believe to happen.
There are some peopple out there who really gain a huge amount of money with 11sept and the following events. Quite sad that such a tragedy is used in such ways. But also shows deeper parts of the human nature. Oh I don't talk about the terrorists there. Yes they gain some influence. Now they don't need to blsomething up. The sole stupid fear they could blow something up is mostly terrer enough...

There are still profiteers reaping in the dough from 9/11. The latest I've seen is a "collectible" silver piece commemorating 9/11 with a face value of 20 Liberian dollars. I shit you not.
