hey guys
Ive installed renegade, but it will not auto download the core patches, i have tried manual download - where i have unziped the patcher, then when i downloaded the program via this link http://download.renguard.com/cp2/patchall.zip, nothing ahppens when i oepn program
how do i get the CP's working
and how do i get renguard to run with my current nik
Help is much appreciated

Yes, I think you forgot to unzip the patches. Renguard will always take the last nickname you logged into WOL with (unless you use gamespy).

yes i unzipped patcher and patchall into my renegade folder, not data, should it be in data?
i use gspy, how do i make renguard use my nik - only useful if i get renguard working

You did run the .exe - file after unzipping, right? I think it's called patcher.exe.

Only thing I could think of is that you didn't unzip patchall.zip in renegade directory then. Try redownloading both and unzipping both again, just to be sure they didn't get corrupted during the download.

thanks Goz
redownloaded everything, opened patcher, which seemed to run through what it needed too, patchall doesn't do anything when i click on it however
- how do i know if CP 2 is actually installed/working
- Should i still use gspy or westwood, eitherway how do i get renguard to tun with my current nik that i want
- i aso get a message when i try to load renegade after renguard saying 'Unauthorised Renegade instance terminated', i have no skins, mode etx at all, this forces renegade to cloe, do u know the probs

You don't need to do anything with the content from patchall: patcher.exe just uses the data in patchall to do what it needs to do. You will notice that core patch 2 is installed by changes in the game. If you want to test it quickly, you could use your num pad to make the taunts in-game (doesn't work in all servers, though).
Renguard should get your nickname from gamespy when you play. If you use WOL, you'll need to login to WOL once before it gets your nickname. That error you get is a false positive and a very annoying one as well. You need to restart renegade/renguard to get rid of it.
Renguard is known to crash quite regularly unfortunately. You can always use game2.exe if you want to play without it.
