At this time I am officially announcing that I will no longer be actively developing BRenBot for various reasons. This means BR 2.0 is cancelled as of this post, and will not be developed further. Lately I have been working on other projects, and simply do not have the desire to continue working on BRenBot anymore.

While I will no longer be actively developing BRenBot I will still provided limited support for existing versions, and will patch any major bugs in 1.52, although to the best of my knowledge it is a fairly stable version as far as BRenBot goes.

I will not be leaving the Renegade community at this time, although I may be less active around the community forums than I have been previously. The IPDB server will continue to be hosted by Tsulutions and maintained by myself.

I know this will be quite a disappointment to many of you, but this is something I have to do. If you have any further questions feel free to ask.

Dan,

Thanks for putting all the time and effort into BRenBot that you have done to this date.

Our server would not be what it is without BR. The countless additions to a vanilla server are priceless and the additions alone to administration are vital to keeping our server running.

Have you named a successor to continue BR development or will the work you did on BR 2.0 get publicly released? If you cannot, or wish not to answer those questions that is fine.

Personally, having started to learn Python I have found that playing around with certain plugins is now easier and I look forward to continue doing that considering development is coming to an end.

Again, thank you and I look forward to hearing what your future work may be in!

Dan, your work in brenbot has been very valuable. We as a community must thank you for it.

The latest version, 1.52, is very stable and a big plus over all previous versions. It has all needed functions to continue to expand, through plugins.

Good luck with the other projects Wink.

Hey bud,

I'd personally like to thank you for all the time and effort you put into BRenBot to transform it into what it is today. The best public Renegade bot.

Before you took over the project there were many bugs and errors as you'd know and you spent many hours correcting other peoples mistakes, and I can honestly say that all your hard well has been worth it. What I would like to thank you the most for is you took any suggestions thrown at you and actually thought about if its what people actually wanted or if it would be of any use and most of the time you would go ahead and integrate this feature. I remember asking you to add many things and you did without complaint.

Good luck Danny boy on any other projects you're secretly doing Razz

P.S Lay off the cokes, you drink far too many.

Thank you for your great work.
But if you leave the Brenbot Project, you could post the source, so that coders can do the work or learn a bit of your work
