For the people who have downloaded Windows XP SP3, have you noticed any major improvements or problems? I really don't want to download this if I don't have to/shouldn't, as I already have had some weird stuff happen since I uninstalled Norton and replaced it with Kaspersky AV 7.0.

I wouldn't dive in just yet; it's been known to have issues with AMD machines and certain Asus boards, and after installing it, Windows "lost" my optical drives (which I've fixed). I'm going to wait a bit longer to try again, but whether or not you're going to get it now is up to you.

Im running it under a VM, so I don't have any problems when it comes to hardware config. But so far it works just like SP2.

Using it now, works just like SP2 did. Does seem to be quicker though.

I haven't installed this yet either.

Maybe it would be good to try BEFORE you reformat in case it messes up stuff then you could just reformat then instead of having to reformat twice if it does something funny.

Not a bad point.

I find that installing Service Packs onto an already hard used OS just is asking for problems.

Installing a Service Pack onto a vanilla ensures it goes on without interferance.
