Correct me if I am wrong but from my neutral and sometimes n00by observations of American politics, I can see that the Democratic primaries have lasted too long for Obama to last out.

He came in blitzkrieg style, a breath of fresh air with a different message, but instead of winning states and convincing people and pulling ahead of Hillary, he got bogged down on many issues and controversies. He let Hillary win and he only won Guam last week by like 7 votes or something?! Hillary will no doubt be winning more states this week.

Now the momentum he brought into the race has died down. I am seeing White Americans who are convinced this guy is an empty bag afterall. Obama's doom has been accelerated by his stupid big-mouth hateful Christian fanatic pastor Jeremiah Wright who thinks the AID virus was created by the White American government to kill off minorities. What a retired thing to say...

Now I know for a fact most Americans can be easily fooled by their goverment with 1 minute of CNN or Fox news but they are smart enough to not let this slip by this time around. Whites are seeing how crazy Obama must have been to have gone to church every sunday (for how many years? LOL) and listened to his anti-White hateful fanatic Wright preach.

Obama is most definitely not like that and I am sure all his intentions are for the good but with the hateful Black activists (with a grudge against whites) rallying behind him, the whole Obama camp is not presenting a good picture of itself.

With increasing pressure from Hillary closing the gap, and people getting unsure of Obama (he's losing votes), Obama has an added pressure to shake off anti-White thugs like Jeremiah Wright who are spoiling his image for their own selfish agendas. And time is not on his side too.

If thugs like Wright can speak out such bullshit even before Obama has gotten the now distant Democratic nomination, how hard will they cry if he actually makes it into the White House?

I am guessing Hillary gets the Democratic nomination and McCain wins the Presidency.

EDIT

Maybe I am wrong?

McCain FTW.

But Obama will likely win the Democratic race, because he has more delegates, and currently has more 'super-delegates' behind him...

The pastor deal is overblown, and I think most people realize the guy is a nutjob, and will likely not hurt Obama too much in the next few primaries. It might actually give Obama a boost.

The media are saying that was Obama's worst week, which is true, but it's still a pretty awesome one compared to a regular Clinton week...

mccain is a 98094385408 year old piece of shit who is just going to continue to drag out the iraqi war, which is completely frivolous.

Well, you're going to be unhappy. He's a moderate, and he's going to kick Hillary's and Barak's asses. I originally thought different, but it seems pretty clear.

Operation Chaos will kick Barak's and Hillary's butts. They are starting to show their true colors because of it.

Dude, I don't like Obama, and I'm a small c-Conservative, but please tell me when linking to Rush Limbaugh's site.

I have to buy a new computer now, and scrub myself raw with a Brillo pad for five hours now.

Oh, and anyone who thinks the Democrat candidates will pull the troops out of Iraq is lying to themselves. It's not feasible. Only McCain seems to have the nuts to say that.

The way I see it, here are our choices:

1) Black man with no experience but a solid message
2) Divisive hag who'd destroy her own party as long as she got the nomination
3) Old man who either a) doesn't know the difference between a Sunni and Shiite Muslim or b) is so old that he is going to get such basic, important things wrong on a consistent basis.

Each of the democrats up for nomination obviously has problems, but to me, the problems with McCain are just too much. I'm really worried about his age. If it was the year 2000, I'd be voting for him, but even my 74 year old grandmother has said he's too old for the job. McCain's VP pick is going to be scrutinized extra hard because there's a decent chance he could die in office (keep in mind the US life expectancy for men is 74 years - he's either 71 or 72, I believe).

He's admitted he isn't well-versed in economic issues, which will come back to bite him in the general. Same for his "100 years in Iraq" statement - although I know what he meant, that still scares a lot of people. He's going to seem out of touch with many voters due to his age and, in my opinion, due to the fact that his wife is a billionaire (remember Kerry's rich ketchup queen?)

Basically what it boils down to is, as an independent, I've seen the Republicans fuck up this country for the past 8 years. It's time to let the Democrats have their turn to fuck it up. Thumbs Up

edit - keep in mind that the democrats are going to expand their house and senate majorities in November. If McCain does win, expect no partisan legislation to be passed for at least 2 years.

How did the Republicans mess it up? This supposed "recession" we are going through has barely touched anybody in this country besides those people who live in Detroit. And there problem is that only 25% of those in high school graduate.

Well, I'm not too sure. McCain is well liked by many Democrats, and has had very public support from Joe Lieberman, among others.

McCain is about bringing consensus. People, especially those in Europe, will often accuse him of being another 'Bush' , but McCain is a smart guy: he believes in sound fiscal policy, raised the 'global warming' alarm bell before many even heard of 'global warming' , and he understands that apes were the predecessors of humans. Mr. Green

Even if a Democrat enters the White House, they will be as hawkish as Bush in terms of international conflicts. Make no mistake, just like the Truman, and Eisenhower Doctrine's, the Bush Doctrine, of pre-emptive strikes, unilateral action, and the right to intervene wherever America sees fit will likely govern American foreign policy for at least 50 years.

McCain is a fucking corrupt idiot and Hilary can't get the Democratic nomination anyway. Obama will win.

Gravel 2008, though.

I don't mind either candidate McCain or Obama, but McCain will win.

Only because the public sees all the bad things about Obama. Hillary is basically gone (thank god), but before all that was going on there were negative hits against the democrats... Hillary hitting Obama and vis versa.

The public only saw bad things about them. And what about McCain? he was just sitting their peacefully on the side lines watching them fight it out.

Now that Hillary is going out (or will be going out), and that Pastor keeps talking bad things about Obama, the only thing people will see are bad things about Obama. This means that even though some people don't like McCain, they will vote for him anyway because he looks like Mr. Perfect.

I think we need to wait and see until Hillary really concedes and the Obama v. McCain contest begins. Then McCain's 'free ride' will be over, and we can see how the public responds to criticism and scrutiny against him.

I seriously can't wait for the Democrats to get everything settled and go headon McCain. There's something sneaky about him.

Anyway, I really liked how Hillary said that if she did not get the nomination, then her supporters should vote for Obama and not McCain. She is pretty fair. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/14/clinton/index.html

I am wondering which pair will put a good showdown though:

Obama vs McCain

OR

Hillary vs McCain
