Has 60's rock returned to the field of play? I've been listening to certain bands, like Of Montreal and Louis XIV....At first I thought they were from the 60's...After looking them up, I found both were formed just recently. Then even have a few songs that if you said ''This is the beatles'', I'd believe you. Even the way they dress, sing, act, and play is 60's-esque. Is thi style coming back into play?

Even though everyone loves The Beatles, to me "60s" means Hendrix, Cream, early Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, etc.

That said, no. The 60s aren't coming back.

Need more of The Doors.

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

That's an insult to Jim Morrison.

The depressed, shaved, fat Jim Morrison of his later years? I don't need to insult him. The other Jim Morrison we all know and love? He's immune to the e-insult damage type, so no worries.

I doubt we'll be hearing any more Leader of the Pack's or Jumping Jack Flash's anytime soon.

However, I've been hearing there is a slight return to the 'glammy' style popularized by T-Rex and Slade, so there might be hope for music yet.

Here's hoping the late-70's, and 80's makes a comeback. Mr. Green

when you post about 60's rock you must take into consideration that from early 1967 til the end of the decade a lot of the rock produced was "pyscadellic", (spell check), unlike the early 60's, so which do you like better the early blues rock of the Stones, etc. or the "trippy" sound of early Floyd, etc.

u du da thinkin' and i'll do da drinkin'

I'm with you on that one 100%.

Also I will probably get flamed for this but I find the Doors really, really boring. :/

I finally got around to picking up Revolver (The Beatles) a week or two ago... even after 40+ years, it's still awesome.
