I don't like the concept of "Donate to get Mod Status," just because, some rich spoiled kid could donate some money, just to ban everyone on the forums and make it so that the only gay guys can join.

That'd suck. I think donators should just get extra features than power. But then again, it wouldn't be donating if they were to get something back. It'd be subscribing/buying.

I said above about not caring about having a say.

However I do care about the community. I would gladly donate some money just to help out. But donating money just to have a "say" in what goes on seems kinda retarded.

Bottom line is I would much rather pay money randomly just to aid the community rather than pay money so I can give my 2¢ on some matter.

I am not so sure about cheesesoda's proposal depsite its good intentions. However, I agree completely with you.

They should have the Donate button somewhere here on the first page so members who care about this community could donate and support.

I check my forums multiple times per day, as do the majority of the other mods. For the most part the rules are being enforced down to the last detail. I haven't even seen one specific complaint anywhere in this thread yet. The term "lack of moderation" is getting thrown around quite a lot yet I've yet to see where exactly the lacking resides. If you're in question of the moderation here please re-read the rules over a couple times and start brining up more specific complaints.

If there's something you're unhappy about, TELL US WHAT IT IS, don't just say you're unhappy.

Given the community nature of this forum, I didn't think it would be tasteful to put ads on here, a donate button, or links to any non-BHS properties (like n00bstories, etc).

I'm the bawss.

Well, this thread settles it, the majority of those that want a say aren't the intelligent ones. Case closed, and now we can use this thread as an example to why a community-controlled forum would be a disaster.
