OK...

The GDI Rifle shoots out YELLOW tracers.
The Nod Rifle shoots out RED tracers.

If you are Nod soldier, then your FIRST rifle is the Nod Rifle (RED tracers). If you pick up GDI Rifle, then it will be the second one.

It works the same way for the GDI soldier. Big Grin
