The newest version of RG gives some problems for The First Decade users.
"Ghostshaw"

There seem to be some issues with the TFD serial fix. I'll try to get them fixed ASAP.

In the mean time, you can delete woldata.key from your rene dir and change the registry entry:
HKeyLocalMachine\Software\Westwood\Renegade\Serial using regedit, to a numbers only version of your serial(so just remove the (-) signs and type it in there) that "should" work.

what is the "registry entry"? ......and how do i change it??.....please give more descrriptive instructions

If you don't know, I strongly suggest you wait. Mistakes in the registry can render a PC unusable.

The current online installer doesn't have the problem(i disabled it). That registry key is completely safe to change it only affects renegade.

I think i am having the same issues , but mine tells me that i am havig an INVALID SHARED SERIAL NUMBER , however i used the repair program which worked fine but still tells me the same Message when i login to the game play of regaurd servers ? i wondered if it was banned but i dont know please check these issues out THAnks Tell Me Sarcasm Big Grin
