I claim the super-earth and name it "Planet Crimson" in honor of Crimmy.

Hahah... this is a cool development, though. I've always contended that our "perfect" conditions to support life could, based on probability, happen near any of the billions of stars out there. This is neat stuff!

lol

That's like claiming that the "perfect" conditions required to make love could, based on probability, happen near any of the billions of people out there.

Anyone worth their time knows it's not only possible, not only probable, but actually happens every day.

I'll take it if it is blue.

I hereby declare that Earth is not blue.

Stay away from my Earth.

What color is it then? Green?

Anyway, it is nice to find a another similar planet. What would also be nicer if there was a way to find out if ET lives there. If you catch my drift.

let me staighten this out. Khan is dead, Kane is only thought to be. Also Kane looks eviler cos he's thinning a bit...

And unless we finally learn how to travel that far real quick, i bet we'll finish the sh*t we started on earth before we even get to launch a colony ship. Also, if we f*ck up this world and move to that older one, won't we f*ck that one up even worse? yeah... i really don't know what i'm on about either.

Super Earth can't be that super. we found it, we might go there, then it'll be a sub-earth, waiting to die. and mars is already screwed. it's red!!!

Even if it was like Earth, we can never go there...let alone settle there. We don't have the spacecrafts and we certainly will die trying to reach it. Humans can stay in space for a certain time only...staying more will result in radiation and muscle loss and a whole crapload of other stuff.

But I think this new planet is a flop...everything is a guess and the findings are only based on inconclusive information. It sure sounds exiting but we need more proof.

Lol! They said the same thing about Venus...and how it was just like Earth and had water and life and was like paradise. And then they found out that it was a Methane-filled hell...lol! So we will never know for sure about this new planet without solid proof.

Yeah but it would also be absolute to think that this is the only planet that can harbour life. What if there is another form of life lives under total different surcumstances and doesn't need air or water.

We would not recognise it as life (as quickly, if at all) if it didn't need water.

I'd like to know that Planet earth and every Human/Animal isn't the only lifeforms in this universe, I think it would be cool if there was other living organisms out there, If they don't kill us because they see us a threat, But we help one and other out.

I wonder what they have discovered? (If there is other life in the universe) Maybe they know how to teleport, And travel faster than the speed of light. Razz

I also wonder what technology they have, It would actually be cool to know.

Until we ever get to that planet, We'll never know. Sad

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

Oh, I wouldn't say 'never.' Probably not in the next 200 years at least. In the 1800s, nobody believed that heavier-than-air flight was possible, so they would have said "we'll never fly" or something like that. And now, just over 100 years after the first plane flight, we have planes that can seat over 800 people!(Airbus A380) We also went to the moon like 66 years after the first flight. (Unless you're a conspiracy theorist.) My point is, to say 'never' is unrealistic. Or something like that.

Oh yes, rm5248! I did not think when I wrote "never." lol! I meant it is impossible in the next 100 years. I am sure we can one day go out there in big ships (like in the movies) and back.

I believe Americans went to the moon...every prrof is there...I absolutely dislike the conspiracy theorists in that matter. lol!

The planet that we need the most now is one that has big oil! Not one that can support life. hahah! That would be awesome...a planet full of oil! Big Grin

There can't not be other life. the universe is infinite, to actually think that there couldnt be life somewhere else in the universe is just retarded.

oh and we can get to other planets.....we just need to find the stargate and then travel there Satisfied

Exactly what I said during one of my speeches! But then people laughed at me and I got a B =(

And about us flying in giant spaceships-I doubt we'd get those before humans kill themselves =P
