Can I get the Renguard client to run on Ubuntu linux, AMD (or Intel) 64, release 7.04 ?
Renguard is a wonderful initiative

Nope. AFAIK RG doesn't run on Linux. Unless the new protection... Crimson will reply about that.

You should write at least a Linux-Prog that simulates a running renguard version, 'cause on most Server you get kicked for not using renguard...
So you keep all Linux-Users out of the best Servers.
Normaly, we have the Problem that the game don't run under Linux.
But it's the first time, that a game run perfectly and the game hinders us from playing it...

afaik you can edit your message just ~30minutes after posting it.
and are there PB, CD, VAC and so on for linux? oh wait.. i guess most modern games with anticheat soft wont even run on linux flawlessly, so... thats hardly a measure.
but then again im doing only console-based server-related stuff at work in linux, so i have no idea.
but imho: if you wanna play games, use windows.

I'm pretty sure that America's Army (like many other UE2.x games) has a native Linux port of its client. What I'm not sure about is if PB got ported to Linux as well...

The game works perfectly in Linux, the anti-cheat-software does not.
And for this problem, i should install a OS that have more bugs than functions? 
When a game don't run under Linux, we have no chance...
But when a game does and a free software not, we have a chance to ask for a Linux conversion.
We would be pleased with a software, that simulates renguard for the server, 'cause the most cheating tools wouldn't work under Linux 'cause they are written on a too low level to work...

that's already done, it's called ssc_ignore.txt, if you use Brenbot. 
and no, you are wrong, the most cheats for renegade are just settings modifications, like objects.ddb  and they
are working on linux as well, if not better.
When people ask me "Plz" just because it's shorter than "Please" I feel perfectly justified to answer "No" because it's shorter then "Yes"

I need to learn some programing languages and work on the wine project to get some apps working but I'm to lazy and it would be a long time before am any help. so if any of you on the renguard devteam wanna port/wine enable renguard I would be thankful
