something wierd while i was testing out the bans on Sbot. i joined my server, banned myself. and found i could not get back in. ok, thats fine and working. except it wasn't the Sbot not letting me back in. it was something else. i was "allow roshambo"ing but i was to no use. i found that other people except me could join my own server. i changed my ip address and nick and vio-la i was back in. how can i get back in with me regular nick?

delete wolban file from the fds dir? and the bans.dat file

are you using the ban command to ban the players? I think you're just supposed to use the kick one.. I think I had that problem with banned players too.

yes, i used ban. does kick not allow their name into the channel again untill an "allow" has been called for them?
