Since I've failed at really attempting to get people on board with this idea, I've changed it up a bit, and going to ask the few (Americans) that actually care about politics.

I was wanting to do some political talkshow online. There's a site that I know about, and the system they use seems to be pretty solid. Anyways, I was hoping to find someone who shares my views to discuss politics and other random current news from a certain viewpoint. Then I was also thinking that it could be a group of people who share a generally-consistent viewpoint, like a mix between Republicans and Libertarians. However, that doesn't seem like it would work, either.

Instead, I could always try to have a panel of people who disagree completely. From Republicans and Libertarians to Democrats and Socialists.

I'm too tired to really compile a complete thought on this issue. I figured I would lay it out before I forgot about it.

If anybody is remotely interested, reply. It's a long shot, but who knows what might come out of it.

IMHO this may be the wrong place to have an original concept.

On the vast majority of occasions people are shot down in flames for having any view that is different to the original post. Even if it is ONLY to demonstrate that there may be an alternative side to the discussion.

Is it compulsory for you to have the idea based solely around American Politics?

I wish you very good luck in trying something different and hope you succeed. Thumbs Up

I think that besides in religion, we have similar viewpoints in politics. But you've got to have the dissenting opinion to be intersting. Smile

I'm the bawss.

@puddle

Yes, it does need to be centered around American politics. It's kind of hard to really discuss politics of a government that you aren't living under. Also, I'm trying to get people informed on politics, and hopefully change the course of the 2008 election.

@Crimson

Even if we shared most common viewpoints, there'd still be a lot of debatable topics. Of course, even religion could be talked about, concerning politics, though my opinion isn't really that typical of a Christian.

Plus, on this talkshow, it's also going to allow for listeners to join in and have their say, but it'd be centered around a few hosts. If it was to gain enough notoriety, then the format may be changed around, but I'm trying to figure out what'd work.

I'm sure we can find some interested Demorat to join in.

You know i'd help but I just don't have the time lately. My viewpoints are less than controversial anyway so I probably wouldn't contribute to ratings, not to mention I'm a terrible orator.

The story of my life, even if I do not believe in the opinion. I believe that someone has to state what others may not want to hear.

However you are correct. Thumbs Up

Always playing the devil's advocate is pointless. There is a time and a place for it.
