Im having problems with my direct X.

Any game using directX 9 will not run, including renegade with e directX patch.
It currenly says that directX is intalled and is version 9.0c but there is something wrong with it. If i try to roll back to an eirlier version it skips the actual install and says its finished.
I got another installer and it was seeming to work untill it encountered an error and aborted, i looked at the report files and could make nothing of it.

Im attaching my dxiag and dxerrir.log files if it could help someone find the problem.

Sorry for being so vauge, im half asleep.

This looks like a file permissions error. For some reason the account running the DirectX installer cannot access the file C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\DirectX for Managed Code\1.0.2902.0\Microsoft.DirectX.xml

How you fix it I dont know.
What operating system are you running on?

If you cant find the uninstaller, try looking at the contents of your directx folder (search for it). Then reinstall your video cards drivers.

Make sure your logged into an admin account when your trying to install / uninstall things, user accounts cannot access a lot of folders needed for installing DirectX and other things.

Could it be because the file doesnt exist? I looked there and there is no such file.

Edit, If anyone has the file, could you send it to me?

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

Try this installer, it should update your DX to the very latest version, released in December 06
