well i have been playing renegade for years and years and i hae nvr had a problem like tis until i recently started to reinstal it and when i ope up renegade and it gets to the renguard screen and it starts to download and i click install core patch it installs up to patchal.ip and then it freeze and doenst work so if would hel;p me i would greatly appreciate it and help u if u hgvae have ur own probles but ya thankyou and tell asap and if itis in ur intrest can send me an email at billabongguy90@aol.com and once again thank u

1. Click disable core patch updates
2. Manually install the core patches if you still want them:

I'd advise you to restart from 0, following the guide I posted about just before. Do not forget to install in a new directory, then Renegade, then patch 1.037, ... all in the correct order.
