I have been given the honour of become the main webmaster for renegadecommunity.com, under the Black Hand Studios banner ofcourse, about 2 weeks ago.
Since its launch, this website hasn't had the support it deserves to have as 'portal' for the official Renegade Forums. I hope to bring a change to this.
I've made a lot of changes, most of which visitors will probably not notice. Generally it consists of code changes. Some of the changes you may notice:
- Put everything up to date. This website ain't a mere mirror of the old Westwood site anymore: the website now also is up to date. For exemple: all links work, also the ones to the reviews. Articles that are out of date got a little 'outdated' warning
- Added some new info/articles. The most important new section would be "Renguard FAQ" which gives answers to almost every question, concerning Renguard (and core patches), that has come back several times on these forums. Clanwars.cc got its own link and a bit of info in the navigation menu
- Updated the news script so images in the news would be displayed correctly
Basically the site is now operational like it was planned to be from the start.
I will try to keep up with all Renegade related news on this website from now on. You can ofcourse still submit your own Renegade related news on this link! This is the link that you can see on the renegadeforums.com index.

I personally think these old images have a lot of charm. It gives the website the 'good old' Westwood's Renegade feeling.
What I could do is add recent screenshots so visitors can see the contrast.
At the meanwhile, I updated the 'downloads' section with some info about Renguard, Core patches, fanmaps and the FDS/Brenbot tutorial.
About the bypassed Renguard issue: http://www.renegadecommunity.com/page.php?link=rgfaq#12
I hope this can be considered as a suitable answer.
