hi i need help i have just installed renegade ..then i go onto www.renguard.com then download it. and when it is installed i load renegade and it come in send error report and it will keep doing that....i am running windows xp ... plz help me

dunno, but if you want to renegade run Game2.exe in your renegade folder

I know that, I wish help you but I very very afraid! You can't run renguard. And I can't run renguard for about 6 months! Sarcasm because problem with windows xp update. Renguard SHOULD fix it! I still wait hear from renguard 1.04 coming?

OK, whoever runs this Renguard business, here's some information pertaining to THIS error (i have it also Angry ):

It has NOTHING to do with 64 bit windows, or windows xp, or 2000 or anyhting else.

It has NOTHING to do with Norton.

Likely it has to do with windows updates, unsure of which one. I tried uninstalling KB917422 and it didn't help - heard it caused a lot of problems related to games.

In other words, next time someone posts about this, skip the 64 bit, xp, norton stuff. it doesn't help, and those aren't the problems.

Anyway, hope this can help someone figure out what's causing this, it's getting quite annoying.. Rocked Over

First of all: in your Renegade directory, there's a file called "game2.exe" which will allow you to play Renegade without Renguard.

Concerning Norton: it would at least give him a notification that Renguard "contains a virus" and ask to delete svkp.sys before he gets this error. (http://www.renegadecommunity.com/page.php?link=rgfaq#5)

I agree with Goztow, the problem is most likely due to the WGA automatic update, which completely screws up RG for some unknown reason (or unknown to me anyway, I expect the RG team know why)

Press the more info button and post a picture of the window that pops up then. That should show what module is crashing, and then someone might be able to work out why. Rocked Over
