after getting sick of those annoying RG pop-ups, i decided to take the time to install RG. after downloading it, i made sure the install path was right, and made sure the little (tm) was in the right place. then apon running renegade, i was asked to download 2 maps after having my renegade files scaned. i did so. then i was first confronted by this very annoy error message apon running renegade. so i reinstalled renegade and Rengaurd. then it asked me to download the 2 core patches. i did so. then i got the same f***ing error messgae. so i reinstalled Renegade and Rengaurd 5 more times, each getting the same error message. i am out of options. please help.

What operating system do you use (what version of Windows)? RG doesn't support Windows 2000 or a 64bits version of Windows at this moment.

Try this:

Click Start, Then Run.

Type in "cmd" without the quotes.

When command prompt opens type "NET START SVKP".

Please post the output from that command.

The SVKP service was started successfully.

Fixed the problem for me

Now im stuck on a Game.exe application error which if i click Ok or cancel it closes RG.. if i leave the error there RG runs fine Neutral

Do you have XFire? Everytime I start RenGuard, xfire_toucan_22466.dll crashes, but as long as I don't close the Dr.Watson window ("Do you want to send an error report to Microsoft?") RG works fine. Very Happy
