FDS and LAN game problem [message #213167]

Hi! I have a problem in starting FDS on LAN. Server succesfully loads, but when people goes in Multiplayer LAN menu in Renegade client there are no any game in the list. Can anybody give me an tip for fixing this problem? I tried to add ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx command line to server, i tried to use RenegadeIP that mades possible connect directly to server without main menu.
I think that server is not visible to others, but why? Dont Get It

Help me please!

How sure are you that its on Lan mode? Double check everything.

Hmm, how to set up FDS in LAN mode? I think that change GameType in Server.ini from GameSpy or WOL to LAN. Isn't it?

gametype = LAN does set the server to be a LAN server, you are correct. As for people not being able to see it, check your firewalls are not messing up ports and such. Also I seem to remember that LAN fds games do not show up in multiplayer LAN menu on the same machine as the fds..

Other people turned off theirs firewall and fds is not visible too.

Ok, but can i join game by '+connect XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:PORT /multi' command line parameters? I and others tried to do this - not working: Testing Bandwidth screen, then Joining screen and even after 5 minuts nothing happens...

Sometimes the game doesn't show up if it isn't using a mod... or even if the people are using mods... go to your fds data folder and delete objects.dbb.

good, since you should NOT delete it, you'll need it since it contains all important data files. It might be renamed to objects.aow btw.
Are you sure it isnt showing up on other computers in the network ? Since you cannot join your own LAN server.
