Yeah, same with me, when I reformatted my comp it decided I had to download the CP1 maps (only FieldTS and one other, not all of them >.<) before I could download CP2... which I thought was very odd but still, downloaded them from the linkys in RG window and it worked fine

umm thing is: that is what it said... i did a copy+ paste from the rg window (where all the time stamps are)
there is no pop up saying somthing is corrupt/missing/extra
and theres nothing to say where to get anything from

just that its scanning... then some error of a sort.
but its all offical at the moment, theres nothing modified or added exept the renguard

heres what i did,
1.d/l renguard + installed it, tryed it, error message came up.
2. i then re-booted my pc still an error
3.unistall renguard then renegade. then reinstalled them (renegade then renguard) then patched game
4.the error still there
5. reinstalled renegade, put latest patch on, then installed renguard, but still an error

iv tryed different ways for the past 2 days now... Huh strange.

You obviously do not know how to listen warcat, and if you read other topics you did a very bad job. I'm really tired of imbeciles who don't know how to read, or seach a forum.

Your Renguard is trying to download and install the latest Core Patch(which is not a Renguard update which I bet you didn't know that).

Either start Renguard, go into options and select disable Core Updates and restart Renguard. Or follow the instructions I linked bellow.

Hmmm a popup window about

catchs or somthing

. I sure wish that made sense.

warcat if you are still having problems after this, then you have bigger problems than your reading issue.

Edit: Oh and danpaul you could have helped the noobie a little more....

I was busy at the time, and I always thought renguard was fairly clear about what it wants you to download... but good point

It okay, its not your job to help the noobs out. When you do make sure your realy helping them though, so you don't have to hear anything noobie from them again. Sarcasm

ya, what had happened about the: not showing any errors in the top part of the screen, was that it uses internet explorer to show the infomation. and at the time, my ie had 'broken' and some files were missing, effectivly rendering ie, useless, it couldent load webpages, nothing, so, all the games that use ie to show info in a panal about errors etc, wouldent show eather... but i somehow, managed to get it working once again, and apparently, there was a file left over from the modification tht i put on, and it edited a main file, ( making it say i had a problem)
once again ty for the help Big Ups

so the one you coded works perfectly then Sarcasm

if you don't like RG then go code your own anti-cheat for renegade, and fund the servers to run it.
