Well, it's kind of a long story. I took a whole month off of Renegade, and in the meantime get a wireless router (I'm still wired to the connection, but my connection is going through the router) and the router (a D-Link DI 624) keeps disconnecting and having connection problems. I've read on a few sites, and just about 90% of all people with this router complain of the same problems that I am experiancing.

So anyways, I took a month off, I got a wireless router shoved into my internet connection and yesterday in the UNRULES GSA server I get on Renegade for the first time in oh so long and much to my surprise Sarcasm a new Renguard patch and a new Core Patch were out. So, I downloaded those, ran, and it all ran fine. So I play for a bit, get disconnected here and there from my wireless router and then get off Renegade.

A few hours later I get back on for the UNRULES Fun War and start playing. Upon entering though, I notice lag, and lots of it... My ping is not the constant 70 that it usually is, but 350+, I lag horribly, having a 2 second or so delay, and on top of that, I'm not sure what the problem is as I get kicked off by Renguard saying that I'm using a LAN exploit.

So now, your all probably saying that it's my wireless routers fault (and this is what I think it is too). However, I was just wondering if the new Renguard update or perhaps CP2 have caused others connection problems, as it can just as equally be any one of those two too...

Anyways, I personally believe it's the routers fault and so I'll try and get it out of here, although I doubt that I'll be able to...

I'd like to hear some opinions as to what the problem might be, if anyone has any... Big Ups

Thanks,
~Banjo1231

Okay, well I just got a ride to the store about an hour ago and was able to pick up some sort of ethernet hub thingy, with 8 ports, and so I am running on the old router, and the laptop upstairs is using the wireless router, and so I believe my internet problem is fixed. I'll try Renegade tomorrow and Renguard and see if my problems are fixed (I believe they are Big Ups)

Thanks again,
~Banjo1231

The lan-exploit is a common mistake don't pay no mind to it.

I know it is most likly your Routers fault, and there have not been any connection complaints about CP2 to my knowledge yet.

Okay thanks. That's what I was looking for. I've yet to try Ren out and see if it will run at it's normal ping, but I believe it will. I'm almost 100% sure.

Of course, there's always a first time for everything, isn't there? Huh

Okay. I played with it today and had no problems! Big Grin Thumbs Up

Although, the laptop upstairs is mysteriously not connected to the internet anymore. So, to make it work we tried setting the wires and routers to their previous setup and it turns out that the wireless router doesn't even get a connection anymore (so we can't use it, it seems). Either it broke, or its settings got reset or something... Huh

Anyways, at least I got one problem solved now -- and headed straight into a wall since right now I can only use this computer since the wireless router won't even detect a connection...
