restart your computer. When it's just starting, hit the del-button which should bring you in the Bios. Put your cd-rom drive as first drive to check when booting. Then restart your computer with your windows xp-disk in the drive. Start its setup, it will ask to format.

if it's not your boot drive (the one with Windows or Linux or whatever on it)
then Cmd.exe in run (this is windows)
type:
format c
and go from there
ONLY IF IT'S NOT YOUR BOOT DRIVE

I miss DOS-mode, not the cmd-line but the real DOS mode where you could startup in DOS and do whatever you liked what Windows wouldn't allow you. I miss the DOS-scandisk and chkdsk. Sad *thinks of reinstalling a DOS-machine, just for the heck of it.

I still have a Windows 98 Boot disk. That uses DOS. If you 'really' want DOS, go to bootdisk.com
