That has nothing to do with this topic because I never mentioned "Firefox sucks" here at all. I gave a link to a set of tests that were done which show that Firefox is comparatively worse than Opera is, thus those that say Firefox is better would have to find something else to harp about.

Firefox's search (ctrl + f) function is better than Opera. Also Opera can't handle ActiveX applications or it does not open some files correctly. I still like Opera better, and always use it.

I use FireFox because its interface is perfect for me. The IE interface was fine, but IE was always so easily exploited that it wasn't worth using it. I don't need a fancy interface with mail and a host of features that I will never use.

Plus, FireFox is free. They didn't compare value for money in that blog.

Plus, I don't know about you, Aircraftkiller, but Opera used to lock up on me about once a day, which really got old. Maybe it was just me?

However, I did like Opera's interface A LOT better. Thanks for the link, I'm downloading quite a few of those extentions.

I haven't had it lock up on me at all... I usually have about 10-16 websites opened up inside of it with no noticable slowdown or problems with memory usage.

It will occasionally crash, but that's because I run 3D Studio Max and Photoshop 7 a lot of the time I'm browsing the Internet.

The only way to decide which browser is best for you is to try both of them.
Some people will like Opera and some will like Firefox.

You can remove the buttons. This is what my Opera looks like:

I have most of the buttons and tabs removed. When I want my e-mail opened up, or transfers\history\IRC\etc... I press F4 and it opens it.

I don't use mouse gestures but Opera natively supports them.

I've just tryed out oprea and from what I see at first sight, note that both my installations are completly fresh, is that the interface of opera has a lot more buttons on the main page. Making a lot less room for the website. Also the fact that there are so many buttons already on the outside, makes it look a little less appealing to me.

I might keep opera on it for some time to check it out.

That basicly just means there are less things checked in the View menu on installation for FireFox than for Opera... It has no effect on how the browser actually operates. You could go check everything in the firefox/IE view menu and it would take up lots of space too. The only things I have on my toolbar are my tabs and the address bar(which has google search and little back/forward buttons on the same line).

I personally chose Opera so I don't have to type in 7-15 URLs each time I open it. I browse a lot of sites, and Opera will save them all for me when I close it. The tabbing system is just much better in my opinion. Sure I've heard you can get plugins and extentions that will do the same thing for firefox, but why waste my time find, downloading, installing, and setting up those when it's all right here for me already?

I have used this method since Netscape 4:
Import bookmarks as html and set that html page as homepage.
