Try looking at Blackbox for Windows.

http://www.bb4win.org
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=56991&package_id=52365

Just download and run blackbox.exe

Style XP only works for XP.

Blackbox is a whole new shell for windows. Once you run it, you can close explorer.exe. StyleXP is just a stupid shareware program that allows you to run themes that aren't signed by MS.

It is made to be extremely customizable. Here are some screenshots from their SS page...

Thoe are just the 3 obvious ones that I liked, no doubt there is more.

Not free, but definately worth the money. And it's not that expensive either.

So exactly how much memory does this thing hog up? It looks like it would take a lot, but damn it looks so cool! Ill wait for a little more feedback before I download it!

So a 2mb increase shouldnt really affect your computer, unless of course you have like 80 processes open and not to much ram.

Ill look into it, plus maybe itll confuse some of the people that will try to use my computer when im gone for 6 months. Razz

It wouldn't affect your computer... I'm just used to an average of 3MB, and never usually going over 5MB with Aston.

Actually I'm reaching about 1.8MB average with a fair amount of processes running. But no transparency or any other pluging other than the ones that come with it.

But thats the point of it...to keep your comp feeling clean and simple.

Beats explorer's 20MB+! Smile

This was originally designed for Unix, and it's only recently been converted to windows. So you can have a windows and Unix maching both feeling and looking the same.
