I have just got myslef in to a new clan via a clan tryout but they would like me to get a new name...

So I decided to get a new e-mail and register myself...

Fair enough I registered my new nick and I go to use it online then...

Connecting............Unable to connect..........Unable to connect to WOL servers...

I can log in with any other nickname except this one?

Could anybody help me.

EDIT: Sorry I meant to put this in the tech forum how do I move it.

You can definately register and use more than one WOL name. Many people register extra names so they can switch between them depending on which type of game they're playing (sniping).

I've never had any problems with switching between two or more nicknames - so i don't know what the problem is.

Maybe you should just try later? Confused

Its reol, you have to go into regedit and edit it.


ok any sugstions how?

EDIT: Homey told me so heres what you do:

Go to run

Type in regedit

hit ok

go to local machine>software>westwood>renegade>wol settings>logins

now rename 1 of ur old logins to ur new login

go in to that names folder

double click server

type in USA Server

hit ok

close regedit & launch renegade

I do not see the point of having loadzzzzz of different nick names for different types of games,why don`t people just stick with there original
nick names, it will be easier to remember passwords......

Yeah i even used fake email addresses so can never confirm them but they work...

You guys are right. Before WOL moved to EA-land a couple weeks ago, you didn't have to verify them and a fake email was OK. Now, it DOES send a real email that you HAVE to click on before you can use a new account. Blazer and I figured this out a couple weeks ago.
