i tried to format my computer and i went to bios to change my boot sequende but what i found out was that i didn't have any bios so how was i supposed to change the boot sequence to Cdrom,c,A so if anyone has an idea how to format by not using the bios features, please tell me and i am trying to install winxp pro on my pc... and one more thing i have a boot disk.. Mad

u have no BIOS...with out that..you wont be able to start the computer........it would be a blank screen......

try pressing different button to get into it at start up...its sumtimes F1,del,tab ...yada yada...hmm

could try just stikin the bootdisk in the floppy drive and it should do the rest...but i think XP dont need a boot disk its all on the CD... Question

i tried the boot disk i am able to format but the thing is that after format will i be able to install win xp pro back on???? Crying or Very Sad

well if u have the CD in and the floopy in i would say yes.....

been installing windows on blank drives for the past 2 weeks at college..always works....
but see what others say first incase i amwrong i dont want to be the blame for fukin it up

i can format the computer but the thing is how am i gonna install it after the format cuz you know how xp doesnt run the setup in DOS mode!! so if there is another way tell me pleaee, Very Happy

set your bios up to boot cdrom, c, a.

Insert the Win XP Pro disc in your drive. Reboot your computer. When your computer finishes POST, it will say 'press any key to boot from cd...'

press any key

then you can delete your partion and create a new one.
