I think it would be a great idea to incorporate a status image that would appear at the top of these forums.
Either my WOL status tool envoking a URL would work, or MadTones php script (but does it display it in an image?).
I think that'd be the best thing to do, to prevent all these "WOL is down!!!11" threads everytime it goes down/up.

Of course I wouldn't do a query on every page load. The statistics normally on RenGuard.com are generated every minute by a cron job as well.

Wouldn't it be a really simple script to check if WOL is up or not?
fsockopen(<WOL IP or equivalent>, , <timeout seconds>)
This could be put almost everywhere, but I'm guessing thats a bad idea seeing as an assload of webservers will be checking to see if WOL is on or not.
Then we will be doomed.
