And this proves that you are a moron. Constructive criticism is always a good thing, but that post is just such bullshit. If you don't like it, don't use it. No one is forcing you and if you truly want to use it, please help them out and give them constructive criticism.

sorry aber wenn Kritik gel�scht wird wie soll man dann kritisieren ? Mein kritischer Post von heute fr�h wiurde erfolgreich gel�scht , RG funktioniert immer noch nicht und mittlerweile hab ich echt keinen Bock mehr drauf . Und warum sollte ich englisch reden ? Lernt deutsch oder gebt mir ne Chance BH Studios zu kontaktieren auf einem anderen Weg aber da sie nun mal diese gew�hlt haben ........ bleibt mir nicht anderes �ber oder ?

ppl don't seem to get it that renguard is still being updated and more... it's normal that a program like renguard has some bugs that are very annoying for someone not knowing what to do.

go to the forum and ASK for a sollution instead of saying it's bullshit.

Renguard isn't perfect everyone knows that and the developers know that all to well so let them do there work, tell them what kind of errors you get and what you've tried to fix it.

just saying it's bullshit ain't gonna fix your renguard try asking

Yes that is all well and good but unfortunately more often than not when people do offer constructive feedback or inform the RG team of problems encountered with RG they come back with the famous "RG doesn't do anything to X" line.

Thats because when people make posts like "OMG I INSTALLED RENGUARD AND NOW MY CDROM DRIVE DOESNT WORK", we inform them that Renguard does not affect their cdrom drive, graphics files, windows files, etc. :rolleyes:

hum...

i really appreciate the work of the blackhand studios. sure, i don't want to have cheaters in an online game.
the problem that i have with renguard is that i was "forced" to use it:
if i dont't install it i can't play on some of the most important servers like Tefon in germany. ok i can accept that so i installed renguard. it worked fine but suddenly (after the auto-update) it didn't work anymore. also i couldn't uninstall it because after that renegade wasn't working anymore. i had to reinstall renegade and i was really pissed off because i installed the game three times some weeks ago after i got some virus-problems. i won't install renguard on my new renegade-isntallation until there is defenetly a 100% working version of it. i read about version 1.02 and even 1.03... hope they are coming soon because my most favourite servers won't let me in without renguard.

but i am happy at all that renegade isn't already dead because it wasn't such an success for westwood and also isn't very famous, but for me it is one of the best games and THE best online-game at all.

i wish there would be more updates and some easy to install map-packs (i really have problems to install the maps at all, at least it was so some years ago when i tried it Wink

)

ok what i just want to say was: thanks to the programmers of renguard, keep it on.

Look at older posts, there's a compatibility issue with 1.01, just set the compatibility mode to Windows 98/ME & it should work fine. This is an old issue, since RenGuard 1.02 will be out today I'd just uninstall it for now & wait for the newest release. Unless, of course, you wanna go through all the posts looking for how to solve the compatibility prob, quicker but slightly harder Razz

Here's the logic of RenGuard...

As a server owner, I have the right and the privilege to say who I want in my server. If I see RenGuard and I say "Hey, I only want RenGuard-using players in my server." then that's my right. Running RenGuard is your way of affirming to the server owner that you're not cheating.

XLerator, when you download 1.02 (soon), you'll be asked if you want RenGuard to automatically install game fixes currently in development by BlackHand Studios, and also receive fan-made maps. Our hope is that this method of deployment will encourage more map makers and also get more players using fan-made maps.

I am currently developing tools for the map maker to interact with RenGuard and get their maps released. I'll be unveiling that when it's done.

Nothing starts out 100% operational, it's just not possible, you have to give it time & work to have it get from non-operational to 100% operational & that takes time. RenGuard is gonna take over the Renegade community fully 1 day & the only ppl that won't have it will be the cheaters. Laughing

& XLerator, idk what to tell you other than just wait for 1.02 to come out :rolleyes:

Are there new cheats or does the old damage hack still work?

Edit: It is an other cheat because, the cheater can shoot through walls. We was on City_Flying in our Base in the Biuldings and we got killed. Thats was funny.

TEFON Does currently not run RenGuard. If they were to use RenGuard, I am sure it would block it.

Idea:

When the client joins the game, it autosends a message to the host that they are running reguard. Most of the big servers have IRC or something to moderate their servers, so seeing this will show that they are not cheating and they have been authorized by RenGuard to play Renegade.
