Which one do you like better? I like Star Trek more. The first Star Wars movie wasn't bad, but... I don't know... I just like Star Trek more. (note: I have never seen any star trek movies, only the series)
The "old" epizodes of Star Trek were boring and pretti "bad" I agree, but Next Generation was a lot better ("bad" means: too many episodes with too little action and too much pointless talking), But it too had lots of "bad" episodes.
Then there was Deep Space Nine. It wasn't bad, but a bit worse than Next Generation.
And then, the best one: Voyager. That one is my favorite, because it has minimum of "bad" episodes.
Then there is USS Enterprise. I have not really seen that yet, but I saw few parts of it, and from what I can tell, it is pretty boring Sad.
These are just my opinions, nothing else.
I apologize for spelling, English is my second language.

P.S: If you don't like Star Trek or Star Wars, then do not reply. please.

If you think Star Trek is supposed to be about action, you're missing the entire point of the series.

Star Trek is meant to encite thought, provoke a mental reaction of what "may" be, what could possibly happen if Earth were to be united and be found by a superior alien race (Vulcans); to help us become more peaceful and advance our culture by integrating it into the universe.

Star Wars is about brainless action.

That pretty much sums them both up. If you're not intellectual, or just enjoy watching stuff blow up because "they breathed his air," Star Wars is your movie series.

How did Voyager have the most action exactly, I'd say that DS9 did with the whole Dominion war. Personally I've always been a fan of Star Trek, for the reasons that AK stated.

P.S just an innocent question but why don't you like people using the contraction ACK?

Because "ACK" would denote my name being "AirCraftKiller" instead of what it is right now.

That and it looks stupid.

Neither. Very Happy I choose Stargate SG-1 which kicks Star Trek's ass. But if I had to choose I would say Star Wars.

(Notice how TV guide even says "Forget Trek!" )

Very Happy

I like StarGate much better than StarTrek or StarWars. It has action in it just about every episode and a very nice story plot. The latest StarTrek is kind of boring, but the next new episode should be fairly good. The ship was under attack and badly damaged by the Xindi.(Spelling) TePal (Spelling again) was in control of the ship while Captain Archer was under water on some planet ,if I remember correctly, trying to negotiate with the Xindi not to destroy Enterprise or Earth. And it kinda ended like that.

OT: Does anyone know what StarGate Atlantis is supposed to be about? I know nothing about it, but I think Atlantis is under Antarctica underneath where they found the second gate, and the weapon to destroy the attacking army of Anubis. I think Atlantis is supposed to be the lost city of the Ancients because what they found at Antarctica was only and outpost as they say.

NOTE: If I am wrong correct me please!

Personally I prefer star wars, the original movies were good but episodes 1-2 sucked. There is more to star wars(and star trek, I guess) than just the movies; there are also many good comics, novels, and games.

I belive that it is about a group of scientists searching for the origin on the stargate... http://www.scifi.com/atlantis/

Personally, I think Stargate rocks harder than Star Trek or Star Wars just because (in my humble opinion) it seems more down to earth, in some ways more than others, of course. Star Trek has become the mold for so many other sci-fi series and films that it's more of a cliche now, and isn't as appealing to me as it was when I was way younger. Star Wars would be my choice of the two though, just because of it's originality.

Overall, I say Stargate wins Smile.

You're right ACK. Star Wars was made by George Lucas after he went to Japan... he got the story from there.... but I forget the story.

O.K, Voyager might not have the most action, but it has very few "BAD" (Boring And Dull) episodes compared to any other Star Trek(DS9 included). Wink

I know that Star Trek is meant to encite thought, but I like it more if it is made in interesting way(Voyager), not just by mostly pointless talking(USS enterprise).

So Aircraftkiller, which Star Trek series do you like the most?

I liked Star Trek when I was little, but I also liked Sesame Street. I've always hated Star Wars and continue to do so. I hate both, there is no point to have them other than so geeks can dress up and act like faggots.

Is "AcK" okay?

Battlestar Galactica (NEW), Babylon 5, and Dune.

I like the darker feeling of the near hopeless fight against superior forces.

More realistic than Star Wars.

Star Trek has far superior plot development, and much better science.

Star Wars is called a Space Soap Opera for a reason.

Blah, Voyager was boring and crap, TNG will always be the best Star Trek. But I do prefer Stargate.

BTW, Aircraft is pronounced Air-kraft as two seperate words joined with the k denoting a capital C so technically ACK aswell as AK is a correct abbreviation, as is ACKL (syllabic contraction), however it is your name so AK it is (though this does leave me wanting to add the numbers 47 to your name Wink).

Ds9 and Voyager Were the best two series. All the movies were good except that undiscovered country. That movie was crap and had a retard story line.

SW is ok I guess but star trek will always be better than starwars.

i am going to hate myself for even getting involved in this little convo, but i think that ds9 was clearly the best trek out there. Sure voyager was good, but it was too....i dunno....full of sh*t? Every episode was "voyager encounters human-looking aliens...conflict with human looking aliens...Janeway uses her words to solve the problem...everyone laughs in the end and everything ALWAYS works out."

That and they made a stupid ww2 era episode that made me want to puke. The German Wehrmacht, circa 1941 would wipe the FLOOR with those pussy trek commanders!

**You hated undiscovered country? Bad story line?

are you sure you saw that one with the whales????? You know, the WHALES???
