I dont understand what you meant.
I'm sure you said "how do I get hyper terminal working" but you were asking a question in reference to the Uspet Chaps Guide as far as I can make out. If you were talking about the upset caps guide, the only link to it I made was to the modem optimization section. If your trying to optimize your connecion, you shouldn't be using hyperterninal. Thats only really for peer to peer networking. For example, if I dialed your phone number directly, instead of through my isp.

Could you give me more details?

Something you mind find funny if your trying to optimize your connection. I'm connected to a frigging PBX. No wonder despite my best efforts I still get shitty pings.

lol i went on the page and started reading it and it said about usin hyper terminla to check what template i use..so i could use the correct string in the modem settings

Ah, I see. I didn't pay any attention to that part since I already knew the init string options for my modem.

Disconnect your modem, then remove the cable from the socket.
Go to 'FILE' | 'PROPERTIES' | 'CONFIGURE' button | ADVANCED tab |
and make sure "bring up terminal window before dialing" is checked.
Go to FILE and NEWCONNECTION enter a name like "sdgadfg" just anything. it doesnt matter becasue you wont be saving it.
Press OK
Enter some random numer. "1" will do.
Press DIAL (remeber you should have pulled out your plug so that it doesnt actualy try to dial out!)
The terminal window should come up.

Type in the AT+MS=? command and press enter. If you make mistakes delete wont work. You'll have to redial and type it in again.
Write down the sting it spews out and compare it to the ones Upset Chaps provide.
