Hey guys, its time for me to admit the truth, and get this over with.

I am not the best person at PhotoShop, but i can hold my own weight if i have to, although, logo design is definately something i need A LOT of work on.

So, to help move this along a bit faster with the RenEvo website, i am holding an open contest to all graphic designers for a RenEvo logo.

Contest Information:
All submissions will be sent to logocontest@renevo.com, must be in layered psd format (zipped please, gimme some relief with my email account), and must be at least 400w X 400h. Remember, this is a logo, not a banner.

When submitting your logo, please include the following information about yourself, real name, screenname, mailing address, and age. This is for prize redemption.

Contest Prizes:
The logo that is selected will become the premiere trademark of RenEvo Designs & Software, upon selection of your logo, you will be give a choice of one of two prizes.

1. 512m DDRam Memory (1x512)
2. 512m RDRam Memory (2x256)

Both are high quality sticks of memory (Kinsington) and are in perfect new condition.

Prizes will be shipped exactly 1 week after a winner has been selected.

Contest Rules:
By submitting your logo design, you understand the following:

RenEvo Designs & Software WILL NOT use, retain copyright, or allow usage of your logo if you do not win the contest, it will simply be dumped into the recycle bin and deleted.

RenEvo Designs & Software WILL assume copyright over the logo that wins the contest, and will be used freely and solely for the use of representing RenEvo Designs & Software.

The winner of the contest, after redeeming prizes, will not retain any copyright, ownership, intellectual property value, or royalties from the logo, by submitting and winning this contest, you are essentially being "paid" for the logo, in which time, the ownership is handed from you to RenEvo Designs & Software.

NO unoriginal art shall be submitted and will be automatic grounds for disqualification.
Explanation of "unoriginal art": Any art not created, developed, or concieved by the artist, i.e. clipart, game screenshots, photographs, etc... unless you are the author of the photograph as well, in which time, it will not contain any content of people or places.

Contest Cut Off Date:
Currently i am shooting for about Febuary 13th for the contest cut off date, if there is no selected winner on that day, the contest will remain open in a first good first win basis after that, meaning, if someone submits something after the initial cut off date, and there was no winner, it is subject to winning.

Good luck to all, and lets see that talent show through for originality and skill, c'mon, there is 512m of memory out there just waiting to be won!!!!

I don't actually think the current one looks all that bad (althought it's only a banner), but hey, a good prize worth winning if someone can come up with a better one. Good luck to you if you enter Smile

Is it Kingston HyperX or Kingston Value?
Edit: What's the speed on it?

Are you looking for a logo, or banner?

A logo could be something like "RE" (standing for RenEvo...), or just a symbol. But a banner could me more like the whole word, "RenEvo" along with a witty phrase and a symbol etc.

I'll shoot for the Banner unless you want otherwise.

PS, I just dropped a visit to renevo, and it isn't about Renegade anymore by the looks of it, so screenshots of Renegade or C&C would look very out of place. What kind of look do you want?

Oh and is the old renevo site up at another location? Or down altogether?

The current site is geared towards the Ren Evo software development, support, services and towards the Planetside outfit.

What's the purpose of Real Name? Confused
What if my name really IS Thunder Chicken?
Meh, I'll just get to work.
Edit: I finished my piece.
What if I submit it and wait until I get feedback saying I won, before giving out my address?

If you are so afraid to give that information out, why enter? If he wanted it that bad for any reasons other than what he stated, he could simply inform you that you won the contest, get the same information, and then give you nothing. It's not like this is some no name person from out of the blue, and I know you've been around long enough to know who Dante is. I'm sure the same thing will happen to your information that happens to all unused submissions, recycle bin (or equivalent). And as with any other person/company asking for your personal information, you can in turn request it not be used for any other purposes.

Not that I'm afriad, Just curious. Doesn't matter, I'm submitting it anyway. wheeeeeee.
I don't even know how I made my creation. Worked from 3 am - 4:40 am and I can't remember anything. I used like, 20-30 filters, combined a few layers, messing with difference, neon glow, plastic wrap, polar coordinates, rotations, wind, ripple, wave, twist, fade twist, angled strokes, water color, I'm sure I left a few out..

Commander

If your motherboard supports both DDR and SDR RAM, then you can use either one. If it only supports SDR RAM, then DDR RAM won't work in your system.

If you motherboard has 2 pairs of 2 DIMM slots then it probably supports DDR SDRAM and SDR SDRAM. Two are for the DDR DIMMS and the other for the SDR DIMMS. You can't mix it, either one or the other. If your out of luck then you need a new motherboard.

What about receiving 2 256mb sdram instead of rdram?

Nope.
He already has the RAM, and I doubt he'll buy another specific stick just for you.
So, is it HyperX or Value? And what speed is it? I can only use it if it's 333+ Otherwise I'll just sell it.

I think I'll try just for the hell of it, but I have one problem, I am soon upgrading my computer, actually on the 7th to be exact for my birthday even though my birthday is the 3rd, my party and present opening ETC is on the 7th. I am getting a new motherboard and other stuff for my computer, but I do not know exactly what I am getting so i do not know what type of memory it supports, so would I be able to contact you at a later date about the memory?
