Yes, the WOL login servers are once again down.
and no, its not the end of WOL, so dont start up a bunch of rumors again...
hopefully they wont be down long.

There's probably a large demand for generals/sims online servers, so EA is annexing the Renegade servers CPU time to assist.

Im having the same result from 8pm EST today. Ironicaly the same time it went down last time. I think Its the Y2K bug... or the end of westwood online... or the cancelation of WOL by slowly taking players off by making WOL one way only, out but not in, by doing this less of a strain on WOL and they will close it using "lack of players" as a excuse to make money.

simple explanation is no-one really knows, other than EA, so lets not try and guess the list is endless and ACK i think thats what Whitedragon meant about not making up stories, quote me if you want i dont care!

well they say in the pop-up message that you get when you log in "EA will continue to support the Renegade servers for as long as nessecary" blah blah blah blah blah. so, as long as 1 person is in, theoretically, WOL is still neccesary. but i dont know
