It's like telling your boss to f*** off, EA already owned Westwood before Renegade was released. It was a sub-company like Maxis is now and like Bullfrog was (yup EA closed them down before they could release DK 3 - which they had started work on). EA are turning into a monopoly like Microsoft is and there is little anyone can do about it, thats why new companies find it hard to get started off in the industry, unless you are a developer then your not likely to survive unless you do something big. In my opinion EA would have closed down Maxis if it wasn't for The Sims being so sucessfull.

Actually there are laws here in the U.S. that keep big companies like EA & Microsoft from becoming giant monopolies. They are only large corporations right now. In order to be a monopoly you have to be practically the only company that is in charge of the entire industry. So EA can probably only take in a few more companies if they haven't already reached their limit.

Demolition Man, no one cares about your advertising. It's obvious these people are gonna love Renegade till they die. I mean, come on, you and I KNOW these people are Renegade fanatics, just leave them be.I don't even play Renegade, run my lag-o-licious FDS, or have my Renegade site up anymore. I just stay because I know some good folks here (even though they're some bad ones).
