Yes you are very observant, he did state very clearly that he was looking for SP cheats, you win a trophy  .
Stating clearly that he wasn’t going to use them in MP he would have said, "I’m not going to use these in MP" he did not. Therefore its still unconfirmed that he will extend his use of cheats in SP to MP.

I realize what msgtpain said "If he DID want these for MP, do you think he's going to sheepishly reply "Yea, I want it for MP but I was trying to sneak it past you all." Probably not.. " I was thinking that, but there was still a logic behind my question, by asking it the way that i did can give the person being questioned the feeling that these people aren’t going to accept me if i cheat in MP. This then creating a subconscious though were as he as to choose between ren community acceptance or high scores in ren. Mostly the answer will be community acceptance due to the human psychological need to be accepted. In some cases this may not work but i others it will. So there still is logic behind my post even if you don’t see it.

There was no logic or reason behind asking him if he's going to cheat online with them. If he was thinking about using them to cheat in MP he would never truthfully respond (unless he's really really stupid). If he was going to use them in MP, your asking rather he will or won't use them online will in no way make him change his mind.
