Site also needs to go in the correct board... There is a board specifically for this on this forum.

Well, I'm just giving you my opinion, and maybe one day you'll realise people's opinions can often help make something better.

Here are some examples to make it better...

1) Text needs to be centered
2) Use some tables
3) Use grammar
4) Add option to turn off music on main page
5) Tutorial page too big
6) If you insist of everything being on the left hand-side, at least fill in the blank space...

Honestly, what's the point getting a domain name for something like that? Waste of money.

Nice site there ! The site looks pretty good.

Ultron u can be honest bout ur opinion, but theres no reason to put some1 down. Any1 who has experience in webbuilding knows that once you finish your site, you have learned so much that after a while, you wanna rebuild it cause u dont like certain things. Thats called learning/evolution and there's nothing wrong with that.

I concur, but you shouldn't turn your back on peoples' opinion, and judging by his reply, "there's nothing wrong with it", then he isn't seeing what is wrong and what needs to be improved. Therefore I gave him advice on what he could improve on.

I may seem harsh, but I'm just trying to get the message across.

I do have to say that it appears that the site was geared to be viewed at 800x600. I tried different res, and the lowest seems to center everything.

R.I.P. TreyD. You will be missed, but not forgotten.

He should have put a table around the content of the site, centered that, and the content would be centered no matter what resolution it's set on.

He could also make the table's widths percentages... This way, the content would always be like 95% (or whatever he wants) of the width of the user's window no matter the resolution.

I am guessing he used the GeoCities page builder. Thus no HTML knowledge was used to create table width percentages.

Surprised

Let's compare...

Sucky GeoCities..

Or a server with PHP & MySQL.

Example:
http://www.halorealm.tk

--

Screw the domain, you can get free ones at www.dot.tk.
If I were you, I'd rather pay for a good server with PHP support & MySQL.

Your site needs work, lots. Though I've seen some Geocities sites that were worse, much worse.

And Geocities....ewww Don't feel bad though, I used to use it. Personally think I had the best geocities site ever. ( http://www.geocities.com/doriginalmrbob ) But those days are gone now Razz

Maybe you could hook up with PerfectRealm for hosting...

Remember when you FIRST made a website? Tragically basic thinking back at mine, but at the time i was amazed that we could have our own page on the big 'Worldwide Web'! Ah good days, 7 years ago for me.

I began hosting on free sites, using their page builders but now i've moved on, as does everybody. Everything must start somewhere and nobody can be expected to know everything when starting out.

The recommendations are good, but try not to overload the guy with them at such an early stage.

But you never designed that site, or whoever owns it. It's a PHP theme, so you can't compare something that you downloaded to the more original "design" dark made.

lol, I have much more respect for some1 building his own site (like the topicstarter) then some1 that starts boasting because he installed phpnuke or some other prebuilt site, that requires no knowledge, hardly any time, let alone the fact that u can never claim credits for it (which I see a lot of people do). That don't mean I think phpNuke is bad, because obviously it's one heck of a CMS, but the credits for that go to the coders of phpnuke, for the full 100%.
