Recently the RIAA conducted a search on Butler University. Unfortunately, our good friend L3f7y goes there and was caught with over 80 gigs of warez. It was all taken away from him, and he now owes a $10,000 fine.

As a community, we must help Lefty with this. He will soon give out his PayPal account number, so please donate to help a community member.

As much as this disgusts me, I can't donate, due to my minority. Sad

Why should I donate? He got himself into his own mess. And why the fuck would the RIAA search Butler University when A: They aren't a law enforcement agency, B: They don't have a warrant, and C: They don't look for WAREZ??

I'm not going to be "shooed" away. Save the "but we must support everyone" liberal garbage for someone else.

Fact: He knew what would happen if he got caught.
Fact: He knew he had downloaded illegal material.
Fact: He boasted about being a "1337 hax0r" on campus by breaking into other people's computers... It wasn't just this.

He dug himself his own little grave. I will NOT donate my own money that I WORK FOR to save his ass when all he did was steal from people he never knew.

Sure, I'm being a hypocrite because I download music too - except I download music that I had previously purchased, but lost the CD\tape\record to. Rarely will I download any song that I didn't previously own, but I still do it. It does take one to know one and I know he is in the wrong, and deserves the punishment he was given.

Thats like saying that to poor people in africa, north korea, iraq, ect.... Darn That RIAA for there ruthless charging of money. P2p file sharers should only get a semi large fine at about 1000$ at most and have to delete all that data. What we are talking about here is data, a unneeded part of human civilization. Data has no real law, data is just a thing we use to entertain our selves. Its like trying to take money away from some one who is humming a tune. a tune is a thing that is not a physical object unless u thing of the little bits of energy. People shouldnt have the right to sell you feelings, its like selling fm radio. Fm radio is brodcasting every where and we take the data in our air and convert it into sound. p2p file sharing programs is like the air and p2p file sharers are the radio brodcast head quarters. People who are getting sued are the people with the radio. they think if they eliminate or control our radio they will stop this, but the better way to stop it is to take away the air which is imposible, there for all you have left is the broudcasters. We humans all have a magnetic field we produce around our bodys that we have no control over. Its like the riaa is tring to stop us from doing what we have no control over. The RIAA is nothing but a meaningless orginization who will never stop people from broadcasting.
