mixcheck download issue [message #492033]

I reinstalled my OS and I'm trying to install ren again, but mixcheck.exe doesn't currently seem to be working. It downloads a bunch of empty (0 byte) files before unexpectedly exiting. I looked at the network traffic in wireshark and it seems as though the files no longer exist on "install.tiberiantechnologies.org"/"multiplayerforums.com"(which the prior redirects to). Example file URL.

I'm using the mixcheck.exe included with the TT4.2.4 client update.

Is there anyway I can fix this? Or is there somewhere else I might be able to get the latest version of these mix files?

You are using the correct version of mixcheck.exe and the files do exist (the link in your post works for me when I click on it and returns a valid file)

It seems to just be my PC, as it works fine on other devices on my network.

Just in case anyone else come across this in the future:

I'm unsure if it is Windows or the TT server, but the issue is caused by Windows resolving the server's ipv6 address(2604:180:2:1a5::6) instead of its ipv4 address(168.235.83.138). You can temporarily resolve it by disabling ipv6 on your network adapter in Windows (probably linux/OSX also if you're using wine).
