So i'm going to be putting up some servers soon and I was wondering if the idea of having a sort of SSGM-plugin (or built in) protocol to be able to stream live music feed from a Shoutcast server is possible?

You would need a modified client. So it's not really possible to setup I would say.

I mean, it could be part of 4.0 no? Considering they managed to make "Resource Manager" possible my guess is that it's possible to do anything

Audio bits are a bit troublesome if I recall correctly and introducing a whole streaming audio decoder is a lot of work for something that would only be used on one or maybe 2 servers.

Which is why I still hope fo some sort of basic client plugin system some day Smile
(ie. Server Connect/Disconnect hook, Map Load/Unload hook, etc. Might look into that some day Razz)

That would already be possible, with packages then however and the code to play sounds from the data dir.
