I recently un-installed and reinstalled renegade in order to get a fresh one (without all my w3ds and hud files and what not).
It was working fine with scripts 4.0 before the uninstall and now, after reinstalling, I installed the core patches then install scripts 4.0.
When I try to log on, no servers show up. On the screen the pops up it doesn't say "invalid password" or anything it just says visit the xwis website and: "SID: 0, wubwub"
(running original renegade, not TFD)
Whats up?
When renegade goes Wub, it never goes back
(or at least until I re-install renegade anyways)

okay, that worked. But I can only use names registered on that serial? My just reinstalled on he comp useing the same serial as my, yet she has all the names on another serial which we no longer have.
She can login fine on my account on her computer, but I can't login on my computer -_-
When renegade goes Wub, it never goes back

You could try installing again but without installing the core patches, its possible that something in the core patch files is conflicting with 4.0 (the core patches are not compatible with 4.0)
Also we made some changes to the way the registry stuff is handled, it might be that the next build will allow you to install properly and get things working.
