In the last week, ie since the new Ren update came out, jelly and n00bstories servers are dying all the time. The symptoms basically are huge ping times and then disconnects.
Ren had been quite stable, in its usual sucky way, for a long time. But its impossible to play for more than an hour or two now before it all starts falling apart.
This is going to finally kill Renegade.
Something has been changed server side, and its really broken things somehow.
Please, before the last few players give up in disgust, can we go back to the old version until things are fixed.

Something changed everywhere, at that time, whether it was 4.0 or just both servers changed something the same way. End result is still that jelly and n00bstories are now both crashing and dying in exactly the same way, and it started about a week ago. The chances of it being coincidence are minimal - something was done that was the same on both servers, or 4.0 clients are killing them, or something.

I'm still determining the cause of my lag problems. I am working closely with the TT team to rule out that as an issue.

Simon has no PC knowlage what so ever, he just about knows how to turn it on. I'd look to one of your friends (wilo) He's been known to ddos servers in the past.

We have no intention at all to try to make you look like a bad guy in front of the entire Renegade community. You're doing that on your own perfectly fine, you don't need our help for that.
And no, we're not attacking our own servers. And nor is Wilo. We aren't that kind of morons to bring down 3, maybe 4 of the largest Renegade communities just to make you look like an asshat. Like I said, you're more than capable of doing that yourself.

Sure you're not. "Hey d00ds I'm DDoSing servers to blame it on 4.0 since I can't cheat anymore with it, watch as everyone stops using it now!"
4.0 has been out for over a week. If this was actually 4.0's problem, servers would have been fucking up during the private tests. People like me used 4.0 on n00bstories (which doesn't run 4.0) for several months without a single crash. No other servers had problems either.
Take your fear mongering cheat-loving bullshit somewhere else.

You are the one who was directly pointing your finger at the Server Owners themselfs DDoSing; which I am denying and I am stating valid reasons why we wouldn't have any interest in doing such a thing. When I address your post as a whole, you're then critisizing me for not adressing another point? I think you just upgraded your Red Nose to the next level.
And what concerns TT; what ACK basically said is correct, if this was TT causing lag on the servers as a whole, this would have been noticed a lot earlier. That, and we have conclusive evidence that our servers were in fact attacked and that we're still investigating further.
