No sound in movies [message #449578]

Hi all

Im having a sound problem in Renegade. All movies don't have sound. I noticed this before when I run the game, the intro is silent untill the menu comes up, the ambient music plays and there are no other problems.

Is this related to the installing of scrips 3.4.4 and is it just one of the improvements, because ive installed those lately and it might be the problem.

The reason it kinda irritates me is because im playing the single player campaign once again since im a little bored, and now all movies in between the missions are silent. This bothers me, does anyone know a solution. Ive already tried all drivers that are being showed in the Audio options. Sorry for the english.

Go to the in-game Options menu, select Configuration and then select Audio. The "Cinematic" slider should look like in this screenshot:

Thanks for the help, but no luck. The sound starts off for like 2 seconds, then its gone again and it comes back a few times. (het geluid komt in schokjes)

I reinstalled it first, to get rid of core patch 1 and 2 and scripts 3.4.4 for online game improvements. My problem remains. index.php?t=getfile&id=13528&private=0

Does changing the drivers from DirectSound to Miles do anything for you?

It doesn't change. No sound or sometimes for less than a second.

Try playing around with the 'Quality', 'Playback Rate' and 'Speaker Setup' settings.

control panel > sound/devices > turn it up

If that doesn't work, it's something to do with your driver, and has happened to people before as well. Changing the driver has worked in the past apparently (after doing a quick forums search).
