Well i ordered an sony ericsson xperia play phone.
Anyone else have it? Since i travel a lot lately, i wanted a decent android phone. But also play all the games on it. This instead of an dedicated game platform.
Seems that you can emulate a lot of consoles. Like snes and n64 which are running properly.

These newer phones have really shoddy battery life. I have the HTC EVO 3D and the battery lasts 14 hours, maximum. And, if you are using thinks like the 3D camera, or other demanding phone apps the battery life just dies. Nice phones, but prepare to keep a charger with you at all times. Luckily I can charge mine through USB and I always have a laptop with me, but still, its a pain to have to constantly charge the phone.

My phone also says 72hours on standby and im lucky if I can get an entire day without charging it again.

It's rated for 5 hours. That's quite something different from you getting 5 hours on it. Go, in light conditions, use any smartphone. Presumingly you're using it intensely, it will be dead in under 5 hours. Only possible exception are the BB's.

I'd keep old/simple phones. ATM I have a phone that gets through at least a whole week before it needs charging. Thumbs Up
If I need to game, I'll just grab my laptop Satisfied

this problem only should occure by faulty batterys right?
Capacity slows down in months and or years. This is called normal battery damage.
If the specs say 30 hours of listening, then it should.

That's under ideal lab conditions. What you actually get is more like 60% of what they advertise.

Received. Battery can handle 1,5 day. This is with 3 hours gaming pleasure. Internet 30 min. And while doing this the whole time sms.

Btw, this mobile rocks. You can install emulators etc.
Everything works fine!

command and conquer red alert 1 runs like a charm on xperia play.
Including sounds and videos fps = av 60-50

i am actually schocked how psx games work well on this phone...
Playing GTA 2, Rayman, Rayman2, Sonic, Super mario all stars, Super mario 64, Mario cart 64
