If I get this game, I'm buying it for PC.

But that wont be for a while. I'm content with MW2 at the moment.

I don't know about advertised... but I do know that the majority of the advertisements are for a Black Ops themed Jeep... so that might explain it's excessive advertisements (cause there are already a lot of car commercials as it is, tying a video game into one of them means that game gets advertised a lot too).

But it has been recorded as the fastest selling game in history.

yeah, I think. It was the commercial about a guy getting pulled over late at night but he is bragging about how he jacked a Hind attack chopper. gosh I should have seen it a hundrend times already lol. wth...the only reason is because this is the first time I have seen a computer game been this heavily and virally advertised on almost every channel.

btw, I read in my Time magazine that despite the shit economy, video games and consoles have and are doing very well.

I really thought people would catch on the Call of Duty scam after MW2. I guess not. Sheeple just don't want to hold on to their money, I guess.

The road I cruise is a bitch now, baby.

I love both MW2 and BlackOps. They both have their strong and weakpoints, but they're certainly not bad games imo. I do think there should be some new innovations in the next COD installment though.

It was once a respectable franchise. Everything before CoD 3 (lol) was pretty impressive, and MW 1 was not-awful. It's just a victim of it's own fame, and is now being milked. As a C&C-game community, I think this is something people here should be able to sympathize with.

I don't think C&C fans can necessarily sympothise with CoD. The reason being is that despite the milking of CoD, it is still EXTREMELY successful.

C&C at the moment, however, is pretty dead. Everytime a new C&C game comes out, it's medeocre at best.

If anything, C&C fans should be jealous of CoD. They are in no position to sympathize.

Umm...why is there a need for anyone to sympathise with CoD? It's not like CoD is failing horribly or anything...

Do you mean modern shooter as in the time the game takes place or as in today's modern day FPS game?

If the former, then I guess Battlefield 2... but I'm probably wrong.

If the latter, then Halo: CE is what most modern shooter's today are based off of.

Go to almost any gamestore, ask for MW2 and you'll get ripped of for 45+ euros...
The game should cost about 20 or maybe even 15 now. Apparently, they don't care about the people playing their games, but only about their wallets. If they really did care about the people, they'd lower the prices big time so EVERYONE should be able to buy a copy of the game.

I was in a local game shop today and Modern Warfare 2's shelf price was actually more expensive than Black ops.

People still buy it at that price so why lower it? It's a part of business... sorry the world doesn't work like that ... money talks retard.
