Hello,

my server is located in Germany, but the USA players always have a ping of 300-600.
Players in or around germany have a ping of 50-70.

If i test the server connection, example with an usa host, it have ping times of 50-140.

So what is the best to get a better ping for my FDS??

Do you host your server at home or in a datacenter? You cannot expect miracles for people living 1000s of KM away. But most American players do stick around 200 on my European server...

Try putting NUR to 25 if it isn't that high yet. It'll send more data, and will result in a slightly better ping.

Ehm i host it at a datacenter.
But its hosted on a VPS.
Performance is high enough for a FDS, i just dont know whats the problem with the bad ping.

I already have NUR at 30... any other ideas?

A VPS is never optimal for running a FDS but it shouldn't influence ping too much.

If your hard disk is virtualised you may find you will get SFPS drops when the server is busy and the various SSGM log files start hammering the virtual disk controller. Ideally you do NOT want to be running FDS installations in virtual machines.

Not rly, SFPS is stable, i have no SFPS drops. Even with 12-16 players ingame, SFPS is stable. The only thing is the ping, the rest is good enough in my eyes.
I dont have the money for a rootserv *lol*
