"your version of westwood online is incompatible with this product. Please reinstall your westood online."
lol dont know if people are still playing i miss this game and want to try it out agian.
I followed the sticky carefully `reinstalling renegade in 9 easy steps
I have windows vista and everything I installed including the corepatch 2, updater 3.4.4 and script I ran as administrator mode. I`ve tried game, game2 and renegade and get the same message. I dont have directx9 or know if I need it yet. and I didnt install patch 1.037 because I have The frst decade. and instructions said I didnt need it.
Whats your suggestions.

copy only the wol components
paste em on in the ren folder NOT DATA
Boot up ren and your done.
On the menu where it gives Westwood online or gamespy, on your left theres a little sidebar, highlight it and click on my information

Liquedv2, yew need to branch out a little on your thinking. I'm sure you'll twig it soon enough, but you're barking up the wrong tree.
The map is budding with new ideas and great game-play, AitcraftKiller just has to get to the root of the problem, it seems to have him pretty stumped right now.
Leaf him alone, he's doing a good job. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say this map isn't fir you.
Anyway, this thread is really starting to lumber along, all this over some sap's map? I thought the game was dead, but this thread at least is poplar. It makes me pine for the days of yonder.
At the end of the day, life's a Beech.. Who wood of thought it?

Sorry about the spam its normally not my nature and I dont know how it happened. Had web sending issues "resend" maybe thats how.
I already know all about the My info and manage accounts. also its in my "Internet" folder not data. Should it be in my regular folder the Wolapi file?
I just cant get to the account and password login screen.
Thanx for help glad to see ppl still play this.

if these are 2 different things I was not able to google search WOLAPB which u mentioned in ur last reply. I also moved WOLAPI form the internet folder the the renegade directory and no change happens when i reload renegae. I still cant bring up the login screen.

I have the first Decade I havent seen this option while installing it. thats why i had to go through so many steps. like downloading ApathBeyond to get the WOLAPI file.

Phase I know how to log into an account or to unclick auto login and such. I played renegade alot 4-5 years ago. I was a moderator in Black-Brigade and loved on the old Blackhand servers. But I dont know much about Xwis. what it is or how it works. I always bypassed it or never had problems back than. When i go to My info it auto forwards me to serverlists some reason i cancel than im in my information.

XWIS is what we now use to connect on rene multiplayer
But right now its down due to physical server move so it may be teh issue your having right now
Before we had WOL but when EA took over in 2003 it was defunct and replaced with XWIS

Maybe its been that long since I played. actually yeah makes more sense i woulda been in grade 9 or 10 back than. But I have played atleast once with thefirstdecade in the ast 2 years. Yeah possible because xwis is down for server move but would that effect me getting to my login screen? wierd.

We are not sure if it affects the login but the last time XWIS was down, the logins wasn't effected.
So we might just have to be patient
